My year.

First things first. I am listening to Christmas music right now. And I'm not sorry.

There have been a few times where I've caught myself thinking, "I haven't done ANYTHING this year." I felt like I hadn't done anything noteworthy or exciting. And then I kind of kick myself. I started off my year with spending time with my mom, which is always fantastic. We moved to a great new town full of awesome people.

This summer my mom took A and I to Florida for a week and we had an amazing time. Yummy seafood, the beach, dolphin tours, and the list goes on. Fun car rides listening to "Christmas in July"

D and I finally bought "adult" furniture. We have a matching bedroom set! Whoo! It seems like something small, but it's a big deal to me.

This last weekend we did a mini celebration for our anniversary and went to a Nascar race. Just the two of us. It was his present this year. So best wife this year goes to me :)) We had an AMAZING time. The weather was perfect and it had the best outcome. I really needed a day with just my husband. We spend the drive up and back down singing along to the radio and just talking. Kind of like when we were first married and took road trips. The day is definitely in the top five I've spent with him.

In a couple of weeks I am spending the night away with one my very best friends and we are seeing one of our favorite artists. And we have really good seats. I think every once in awhile you need to get away with friends, and that's exactly what we are doing.

After that we are having family pictures taken. They are long overdue and we are using one of my very favorite photographers.

And we still have Thanksgiving our birthdays and anniversary and CHRISTMAS. I think this year has been one of best yet. Even if I didn't go somewhere exotic or anything. It was still pretty amazing in my book.
