Weight loss

This is just going to be a quick update! Since I got serious about losing weight, I've lost 6 pounds!! It is just what I need to keep myself motivated. I am beyond thrilled so far and it hasn't even been that long. I hope I can keep this up the whole time.

Shopped until we dropped!

Yesterday Audrey and I spent the day shopping and had a mommy/daughter lunch. We were gone all day. But we got LOTS of stuff. I made a pretty big dent in her summer wardrobe and got a great deal on her Carter's stuff. She got two new pairs of sunglasses and they are adorable.  I got some work stuff and just some more girly stuff since I love dressing up lately. I finished up Audrey's birthday shopping too. We shopped so much she passed the heck out and was in a deep sleep. We also had a little mini play date since I had to drop some clothes off I bought for baby J. Well, I think that's about it!

Feeling Good

After I had Audrey, I probably looked like a total slob. And I am NOT proud to admit that. I went the longest time just throwing clothes on and putting my hair up. It got to the point where my husband asked what happened, because I just didn't care anymore. He missed his wife dressing nice and having her hair and make up done. And I never understood that. Until I saw what he was talking about in someone else. I was out and about one day and saw someone that looked like they just rolled out of bed and I realized, that use to be me. I didn't like what I saw. So after that, I started actually spending money on myself and buying a new outfit, make up or shoes here and there. I started actually getting dressed and getting done up and my husband definitely noticed the difference. And it made me feel better about myself. I hadn't lost any weight, but just being done up made a lot of difference. Dressing the body I had instead of hiding it with sweats and a baggy shirt. I definitely feel more like my old self and half a lot more confidence in myself. And it's just getting better. I'm finding tons of new hair styles and if I feel this good now, I can't wait until I have lost the weight.

A couple of things

First of all: I made the decision to get healthy. I'm BEYOND ready to get back to when I was happy about my body. And I want to be sexy for my husband again. Even though he still finds me sexy now.  I've been doing good about NO soda. I've been chugging water like crazy. We are eating healthier and I've been working out. I already feel better. Once I'm at my goal, I'm doing some sexy boudoir pictures. I'm so excited for them too! Plus I'm going on a MAJOR shopping spree. Although, I'm sure someone will find out about what I'm doing and just have to do the same. Nothing is a bigger buzzkill then feeling good about losing a couple of pounds and someone else telling you they lost 5. It's happened before. Here's to getting fit!

Second: I seriously love my car. The hubberoni bought me a 2012 Malibu for our 3rd wedding anniversary/my birthday. He got the windows tinted and it looks so nice now. I blow everyone's mind when I start it with my remote at the door of Walmart. I get so many compliments on it. I wasn't sure if I'd still love it after a while, but here we are going on three months and I love it even more! I have the best husband ever.

Third: I'm really thinking it's time to narrow down my friendships. I can count on one hand how many people are there for me and actually want to hang out. Which is fine. I think I'm going to do something REALLY special for them. Maybe a spa day, or a mini vacation somewhere. I'll have to figure it out.

Holidays

I feel like we are the only parents that don't buy Audrey an outfit for every single Holiday. I bought or MADE her outfits for the major first holidays (4th of July, Halloween, and Christmas) But they were always less than $10. I don't see the point on spending $15-$20 on an outfit she will wear once. For Christmas last year I just bought a bow and put her in a green shirt that she already had. I didn't do anything for Valentines day because it's just Valentines Day and we didn't even go anywhere. I'll probably just put her in a green shirt for St. Paddy's Day and probably just a cute spring outfit for Easter. Maybe we are just weird, but I'd rather put the money I'd spend on outfit into her piggy bank or get her something she will enjoy.

Valentines Day

Our Valentines day was wonderful. It was actually our first Valentines Day together since I was pregnant, since he was gone last year. Even Audrey had her own Valentine :)  He got an esspresso maker because I knew how much he wanted one and some new tools and a tool box. And the windows tinted in the Malibu. He says it was for me, but I didn't really care if they were done or not lol. He got me these beautiful roses, a sweet card and a necklace since the chain broke on the other one he got for me. And he cooked me dinner, since we didn't want to fight the crowds at  the place we wanted to go. I bought some nice big steaks and he grilled them for us. We did A's birthday pictures too. A good friend did them and I'm so excited to see them!

Just a little update

It's been a couple of weeks and I figured I'd update a little.

My little lovebug will be 2 in less than three weeks. She's not my little baby anymore! I got a lot of her party stuff, now I just need to make it all. Because I'm so crafty.

I start working in about a month. I'm super nervous about leaving my baby for the first time. But we'll be bringing in a lot of extra money. I probably couldn't ask for a better job. And I'm so lucky to have such a great friend that will be watching Audrey for me, so I KNOW she's in good hands. I'll admit, it's going to be weird jumping back into the workforce after 5 years. But I'm ready. And because I'm starting a new job, we are talking about moving so I'm closer to work. I'm excited because we will probably be getting either a house or a nicer duplex. One of the perks of having two incomes :) And I know my husband is super proud of me.

A little update on lovebug:
She is potty training and is learning all kinds of new words. She's got all four of her canines coming in right, and she acts like she doesn't even notice. She is a little DIVA. She loves putting on my shoes and clothes Always tries to get into my make up to make her self pretty. She's super smart! She can spell her name. But even though she's almost 2, she is still growing into her 18 month clothes, and still fits into a lot of 12 month stuff. Everyone calls her dainty :) She LOVES her baby dolls. She's always got at least one of them. I still have yet to find a food she DOESN'T like. I really can't believe she's almost 2 instead of my 5 1/2 pound baby girl.

Valentines Day is right around the corner, and I can't WAIT to give the hubs his present. I know he will love it, and it will be super personal. But I don't want to say what.

On top of Audrey's party and me starting work, I'm also planning a baby shower for the newest addition to my military family. Baby Jackson!  He's due in May and I'm super excited for him to get here. Maybe it will help my baby fever a little bit, and I know his mom will the love the help since she'll have a toddler and a newborn. I just have to figure out what to get her! I was thinking about pitching in to buy the double stroller she wants, but I'm not sure yet.

Well I think that's it for now. Well it's all I can think of at 12:40 in the morning.
